  2.                  Installation of the PC/BILL system
  3.                  in a directory on hard drive C
  4.                 ************************************

  6. 1. Insert the distribution diskette in either drive A or B
  7.  
  8. 2. Switch to drive A and display the prompt A:\>
  9.    Enter a:   (or Enter b: to switch to drive B)
  10.  
  11. 3. Make a directory C:\BILLS on the C drive.
  12.    Enter   mkdir c:\bills 
  13.  
  14. 4. Copy the self-extracting file PCBILL32.EXE to directory C:\BILLS
  15.    Enter   copy pcbill32.exe c:\bills
  16.  
  17. 5. Switch to directory C:\BILLS
  18.    Enter   c:             This will make drive C: the active drive
  19.    Enter   cd \BILLS      This will change directory  to C:\BILLS
  20.  
  21. 6. Extract several files from the self-extracting file PCBILL32.EXE
  22.    Enter   pcbill32
  23.    Enter   del pcbill32.exe
  24.  
  25. 7. Extract the PC/BILL files from XPCBILL.EXE and install in C:\BILLS
  26.    Enter   install C BILLS 
  27.  
  28. 8. To demonstrate the PC/BILL system with demo data files
  29.    Enter   pcbill
  30.

  32.                Installation of the PC/BILL system on a
  33.                    high-density floppy in drive A 
  34.                ******************************************    
  35.  
  36. 1. Insert the distribution diskette in drive B.
  37.    Insert a blank formatted High-Density (DS/HD) diskette in drive A.
  38.  
  39. 2. Switch to drive B and get the system prompt B:\>.
  40.    Enter b:
  41.  
  42. 3. Copy the self-extracting file PCBILL32.EXE to the root directory on drive A.
  43.    Enter   copy pcbill32.exe a:
  44.  
  45. 4. Switch to drive A and display the prompt A:\>.
  46.    Enter   a:
  47.  
  48. 5. Extract several files from the file PCBILL32.EXE
  49.    Enter   pcbill32
  50.    Enter   del pcbill32.exe
  51.  
  52. 6. Extract the PC/BILL system files from the self-extracting file XPCBILL.EXE
  53.    Enter   install A
  54.    DO NOT try to start the PC/BILL system.  The file DRIVE.PRM contains the
  55.    single line    C:,"Law Offices of"  .  The C must be changed to A.
  56.  
  57. 7. Make a new DRIVE.PRM file 
  58.    Enter   copy con drive.prm
  59.            A:,"Law Offices of"
  60.            CTRL-Z
  61.            (Hold the CTRL key down and press Z)
  62.  
  63. 8. Now to start a demonstration of the PC/BILL system
  64.    Enter   pcbill
