Installation of the PC/BILL system
in a directory on hard drive C
************************************
1. Insert the distribution diskette in either drive A or B
2. Switch to drive A and display the prompt A:\>
Enter a: (or Enter b: to switch to drive B)
3. Make a directory C:\BILLS on the C drive.
Enter mkdir c:\bills
4. Copy the self-extracting file PCBILL32.EXE to directory C:\BILLS
Enter copy pcbill32.exe c:\bills
5. Switch to directory C:\BILLS
Enter c: This will make drive C: the active drive
Enter cd \BILLS This will change directory to C:\BILLS
6. Extract several files from the self-extracting file PCBILL32.EXE
Enter pcbill32
Enter del pcbill32.exe
7. Extract the PC/BILL files from XPCBILL.EXE and install in C:\BILLS
Enter install C BILLS
8. To demonstrate the PC/BILL system with demo data files
Enter pcbill

Installation of the PC/BILL system on a
high-density floppy in drive A

1. Insert the distribution diskette in drive B.
Insert a blank formatted High-Density (DS/HD) diskette in drive A.
2. Switch to drive B and get the system prompt B:\>.
Enter b:
3. Copy the self-extracting file PCBILL32.EXE to the root directory on drive A.
Enter copy pcbill32.exe a:
4. Switch to drive A and display the prompt A:\>.
Enter a:
5. Extract several files from the file PCBILL32.EXE
Enter pcbill32
Enter del pcbill32.exe
6. Extract the PC/BILL system files from the self-extracting file XPCBILL.EXE
Enter install A
DO NOT try to start the PC/BILL system. The file DRIVE.PRM contains the
single line C:,"Law Offices of" . The C must be changed to A.
7. Make a new DRIVE.PRM file
Enter copy con drive.prm
A:,"Law Offices of"
CTRL-Z
(Hold the CTRL key down and press Z)
8. Now to start a demonstration of the PC/BILL system
